Obituary
Larry Wayne McFadden, 70, of Bowler Creek Rd. Pamplin, died Thursday, December 2, 2010, in Southside Community Hospital. He was the husband of Dorothy Jones McFadden for 49 years.
Born in Appomattox County, on December 17, 1939, he was a son of the late Rachel O'Brien and Charles Daniel McFadden. Larry was a member of Rocks Baptist Church, and a retired employee of the Asplundh Tree Expert Co.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Bruce Wayne McFadden of Appomattox; one daughter, Susan McFadden of Appomattox; one brother, Daniel Wyatt McFadden of Blackstone; one sister, Ellen M. Jones of Pamplin; three grandchildren, Samantha, Deonte, and Malaya.
He was preceded in death by one brother Bobby McFadden.
Funeral services will be held 4:00p.m., Sunday, December 5, 2010, at Robinson Funeral Home by Rev. Ronald D. Moore. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers to family request that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 1030 Oakville Rd. Appomattox, Va 24522.
