Larry Wood Chandler, 63, of Rosser Mill Rd., Pamplin, died Sunday, November 9, 2014 at his residence. He was the husband of Judy Robinson Chandler for 42 years.
Born in Hampton, Va., on January 25, 1951, he was a son of the late Ernest Chandler and the late Ruby Huggate Chandler Lankford and the late Albert Dale "A.D." Lankford. He was retired from Frito Lay and was a part-time bee keeper, farmer and gardener. Larry was a US Army veteran serving in Vietnam.
In addition to his wife, Judy he is survived by six sisters, Ernestine Merchant and husband, Wayne, Janice Bell and husband, Jim, Patricia Miner, Betty Craig and husband, Richard, Edna Loer and husband, Timothy, and Joan Walling and husband, Aaron; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Chandler.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home, 667 Court Street, Appomattox on Thursday, November 13, 2014 from 7 until 8:30 p.m.
A memorial service officiated by Timothy Loer will be held 7 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2014 at Claytor-Rollins Funeral Home, 836, Poquoson Ave., Poquoson, VA 23662 followed by a visitation.
