Kimbra Hancock O'Brien, 47, of Annie Street, died Saturday, October 26, 2013 at her residence.
Born in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of Virginia F. and James C. "Jimmy" Hancock of Appomattox. She was a member of Evergreen United Methodist Church and worked as a secretary with J.E. Sears and Company.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her son, Blake O'Brien, and daughter, Ashley Coleman and her husband, Ryan; two grandchildren, Kenleigh and Trafton Coleman; sister, Terri Willis and her husband, Tim, all of Appomattox; nephews, Tyler and Trevor Willis; Godparents, June and Al Taylor; special friend, Barry Watkins, and many friends and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Wendy Hancock.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm, Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. Herndon Jefferies with burial to follow in Liberty Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 pm, Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Robinson Funeral Home and other times at the home of her parents, Jimmy and Virginia Hancock, 683 Morning Star Road.
