Appomattox: Kenneth Harold St.John, 82, of Rt. 1, died Friday evening, January 6, 2006, in Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Ethel Garrett St.John.
Born in Charlotte County, December 31, 1923, he was the son of the late Nannie Overby and Andrew Lee St.John. He was an army veteran of WW II, retired from VDOT after 35 years of service, and a member and deacon of Evergreen Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife Kenneth is survived by two sons Dennis St.John of Toronto, Ontario, Canada; James St.John, and his wife, Ginger of Madison Heights; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Alma Snow.
Funeral services will be held 11:00AM on Tuesday, January 10, 2006, at Evergreen Baptist Church by Dr. Chris King with burial to follow in Evergreen Community Cemetery.
A visitation will be held in the church one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends at his residence.
