Kaye Grishaw Bentley, 67, of Whites Chapel Rd., Phenix, died at her residence on Friday morning August 12, 2011. She was the widow of Willard James Bentley, Sr.
Kaye was born in Appomattox County on September 12, 1943 a daughter of the late Bertha Cyrus and Walter Lee Grishaw. She was a homemaker and a member of Midway Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Willard James "Jimmie" Bentley, Jr. of Phenix; Deborah Goin and David of Appomattox and Sherri Ferguson and her significant other Steve Dale and his two children of Lynchburg; June Grey Bentley and her family; brothers and sisters, Lois Jackson & Bob of California; Hazel Lee & Ray, of Madison Heights; Faye Wood & Edward of Rustburg; Dorothy Overstreet & Morris of Phenix; David Grishaw & Elaine of Appomattox; Allen John Grishaw & Betty of Brookneal; two grandchildren, Tyler Ferguson & Mackenzie Goin and a host of special nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their gratitude and heartfelt thanks to all Centra Hospice especially Beverly Davis and Dana Garrett for their love and care of Kaye.
She was preceded in death by two brothers Ellis C. "Buster" Grishaw and Ray M. Grishaw.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday August 15 in Midway Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. Joey Anthony. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday night August 14, 2011 from 6-8:00 P.M. at Robinson Funeral Home and at other times at the residence.
