Katie Sue Stapleton, 51, of Cove Mountain Road, Gladstone, died Saturday, March 2, 2019 at her residence. She was the wife of Nathaniel Otis Stapleton.

Born in Lynchburg, Va., on November 21, 1967, she was the daughter of the late William Earl Mayberry and Hazel Fields Wilson of Appomattox

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by two children, Suzanne Kidd and husband, Kevin of Spout Spring and Philibert Daniels, Jr. and wife, Chelsea of Lynchburg; four grandchildren, Ashton, Alianna, Riley, and Kalani; one brother, Kenneth Earl Mayberry; and three sisters, Laura Jane Nash and husband Allen all of Appomattox, Sheila Anne Booker and husband, Brian of Gladstone, and Leslie Dawn Kornagay of Lynchburg.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at Robinson Funeral Home with burial following in Liberty Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5 until 7 p.m. and other times at the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Sheila and Brian Booker.
