Katie Seay Doss, 89, of Appomattox entered Heaven already with a set of wings, Tuesday, April 18, 2017. She was the wife of the late Paul O. "Pete" Doss.

Born in Appomattox, September 15, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Annie Martin Seay. Katie was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church and retired from General Electric. Her greatest joy in life was her two granddaughters.

Katie is survived by her children, Lynn Aaron Doss of Appomattox and Susan Doss Shutt and her husband Mark of Lynchburg; her two beloved granddaughters, Katelyn Marie Shutt of Richmond and Molly Kathleen Shutt (Nick) of Chesterfield; numerous nieces and nephews, and two very special nieces Kimberly Chenault Pannell, her husband Vince and their children, Brandin and Austin, and Patsy Seay Thomas and husband, Frank.

In addition to her husband and parents Katie is preceded in death by all eight of her siblings, Hallie Seay, Frances Ferguson, Pauline S. Oxford, A. Peyton Seay, Charles M. Seay, Rudell Seay, Bobby A. Seay and James R. Seay.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Robinson Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Seay officiating. Burial will follow in Red Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Robinson Funeral Home.
