Concord: Kathryn Diane Wiseman Franklin, 59, of Spring Mill Road, died Saturday evening at her home. She was the wife of John Preston Franklin.
Born in Lexington, March 8, 1948, she was a daughter of Robert L. Wiseman of Roanoke and the late Cathern McFaddin Wiseman. She was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church and a homemaker.
In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by three sons and their wives, Donald and Christine Kauffman, Williamstown, PA., Jeffrey and Marcella Kauffman, Charlottesville, and Timmy Kauffman, Concord; two daughters and their husbands, Cheryl and Will Hodges, Glade Hill, and Anita and Roger Crider, Rocky Mount; one sister, Karen Huffman and her husband, Robert, Rocky Mount; three brothers and their wives, Wayne and Ruth Wiseman, Steve and Debbie Wiseman, all of Bonsack, and David and Karen Wiseman, Roanoke; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandson; a stepson and his wife, John and Nancy Franklin and three step grandchildren all of Brookneal.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Fred A. Wiseman.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at Union Hill Baptist Church by the Rev. James D. Newman. The family will receive friends Tuesday at Robinson Funeral Home from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.
