Katherine Langford Wooldridge, 89, of Trent Hatchery Road, Appomattox, died Friday morning at her residence. She was the wife of the late John Lawson Wooldridge for 64 years.
Katherine was born in Bedford Co., June 7, 1923 a daughter of the late Hallie Wilson and Walter Wood Langford. She was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church and a retired employee of Amelia Dress Company.
Katherine is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Joan Wooldridge of Forest; a brother and his wife, Walker and Violet Langford of Lynchburg; a grandson, Eric Wooldridge and a granddaughter, Lauren Wooldridge both of Forest. She was preceded in death by a son, James Langford Wooldridge; two brothers, Ellis and Bruce Langford; 4 sisters, Hilda Wilson, Stella Layne, Phyllis Woodford and Ellen Gilbert
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday November 26, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. in Evergreen Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Chris King. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. Sunday November 25.
