Katherine Mason Fitzgerald, 86, of Concord went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on August 6, 2010. Born in Sugar Hill, Campbell County, May 29, 1924 to the late Vaden and Hester Elder Mason.

She was the wife of the late Thomas E. (Bumps) Fitzgerald. Katherine was a member of Spout Spring Baptist Church.

Katherine was preceded in death by her son David C. Fitzgerald and brothers Malcom and Horace Mason and sister Mildred M. Asher.

She is survived by daughter, Darlene Clark and her husband Bill of Concord; sisters, Billie Jean M. Tribble of Powhatan and Christine Mason of Richmond; daughter-in-law, Catherine Fitzgerald; grandsons, Brian Fitzgerald and wife Karen, Paul Fitzgerald and wife Emily; granddaughter, Michelle Wooten and husband Matt; great-grandchildren Wesley and Katelynn Wooten.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00am Monday, August 9, 2010, at Pamplin Community Cemetery, with Pastor Paul Kvasnicka officiating.

Family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home on Sunday, August 8, 2010, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm, and other times at the residence of Darlene and Bill.
