Karen Elaine Sauers, 65, of Appomattox passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019.

She was born December 6, 1953 in the city of Butler, PA, daughter of Ralph Ronald Cranmer and the late Coralee Gaiser Cranmer.

Karen was a wonderful Mother and loved by so many family and friends. She had battled cancer and treatments for the past six months. Things she loved to do were visiting with family, taking care of her animals, and horseback riding. She loved her farm animals and shopping trips with her daughter. Karen worked at Food Lion for over 24 years. She always had a smile on her face. She will be missed greatly.

She is survived by her spouse Richard Franklin; daughter, Samantha May and Husband Timothy May; daughter, Tracy Kortz; father, Ralph Cranmer; brother, Richard Cranmer and wife, Gloria Cranmer; brother, James Cranmer and wife, Marita Cranmer. She is also survived by 3 granddaughters and 2 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her Mother, Coralee Cranmer and Sister, Eileen Thompson.

Services will be held Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 2 P.M. at Liberty Baptist Church with Pastor Rusty Small officiating.
