Obituary
Karen Sue Gosney Mitchell, 62, of Lee Grant Ave., died Saturday, December 14, 2013 in Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of James Mitchell.
Born in Youngstown, Ohio, on November 7, 1951, she was the daughter of Bettie Gosney of Columbiana, Ohio and the late Donald Gosney. She was a secretary for Waterford Furniture.
In addition to her husband and mother she is survived by a daughter, LeAnn Ludt of Youngstown, Ohio; two sons, Christopher Brine of Spain and Joseph Brine of Girard, Ohio; a sister, Becki Hivley of New Waterford, Ohio; 13 grandchildren and six nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made in Karen's name to the American Cancer Society, 2050 Langhorne Rd., Lynchburg, VA 24501.
