KALENA F. BALDWIN

Pamplin: Laylon Kalena Ferguson Baldwin, 80, died Thursday morning, January 10, 2008, in Southside Community Hospital. She was the wife of the late Albert Cavil Baldwin.
Born July 8, 1927 in Pamplin, she was preceded in death by her parents, Preston C. and Bessie Whorley Ferguson, three brothers and two sisters. She was a member of Elon Baptist Church and a retired seamstress with the Pamplin Garment Factory.
She is survived by her son, Albert Dale Baldwin and his wife, Rose of Charlotte Co.; three daughters, Mabel Pistorio, Charlotte Page and her husband, David, all of Appomattox, and Della Giles of Lynchburg; eight grandchildren, Joseph Pistorio, Jr. and his wife, Ashley, Tara Pistorio, Jack Giles, Jr., Julie Ewers and her husband Sterling, Celeste Calloway and her husband Marcus, Kristy Middleton and her husband, Mike, Jeremy Page, Justin Baldwin and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Monday, January 14, 2008, at Elon Baptist Church by the Rev. Andrew Matthews and the Rev. John Campbell. Burial will follow in Pamplin Community Cemetery,
The family will receive friends Sunday at Robinson Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and other times at the home of Charlotte and David Page, Red House Rd.
