Junior Edward Staton, Jr.,54, of Pamplin passed away due to a logging truck accident.

Born in Lynchburg on October 7, 1967, he was the son of Betty Orange Staton and the late Junior Edward Staton, Sr. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Melissa Jones and husband, Cameron of Memphis, TN; nephew, Justin Mottley and Brittany; brother-in-law, Larry Mottley; aunts, Dorothy Lair and Joyce Baldwin of Pamplin; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Mottley.

A graveside service will be held 2 pm, Monday, August 8, 2022, at Trinity Memorial Gardens with Pastor Herndon Jeffreys officiating.
