Julian Braxton Eagle, 85, of Rose Lane, Appomattox, died Sunday, December 21, 2014, at his residence. He was the husband of the late Peggy Sale Eagle.
Born in Appomattox County, Va., on March 11, 1929, he was a son of the late Lula Godsey and David William Eagle. He was truck driver and diesel mechanic employed by Jamerson Brothers Trucking and J. D. Martin Lumber Company.
He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Delores E. and Rev. John E. Flood, Sr. of Tangier Island, Norma E. and Richard W. Price, Sr. of Pamplin, and Sandra E. and Clark l. Allen of Appomattox; a son and daughter-in-law, Roger D. and Wanda Eagle of Appomattox; a sister and brother-in-law, Alice E. and Charles Sale of Lynchburg; seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m., Sunday, December 28, 2014, in Liberty Cemetery by the Rev. John E. Flood, Sr. The family will receive friends at the home of Sandra Allen, 2082 Oakleigh Ave., Appomattox.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, or your favorite charity.
