Obituary

Judy Franklin Hatcher, 65, of Old Courthouse Rd., departed this life Wednesday, December 19, 2007 in Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born in Buckingham County, June 4, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Cliffton Edward Franklin, Jr. and Jannie Watson Franklin. Judy was a member of Hollywood Baptist Church, a beautician and was the owner and operator of Hairways until her retirement.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Angela P. and Michael Shupe; two grandchildren, Skyler and Logan Shupe all of Greenville; a sister and brother-in-law, Betty F. and Bobby Merricks of Altavista and a brother and sister-in-law, Roger Wayne and Shelvy Franklin of Powhatan.
She was preceded in death by a brother, T. C. (Sonny) Franklin, Sr.
Graveside funeral services will be held 3:00 pm, Saturday, December 22, 2007 in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Oscar Bryant.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
