Joseph Ruddel McFadden, Jr., 49 of Pumping Station Rd., Appomattox, died Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at his residence. He was the loving husband of Vicky Hamlett McFadden.

Born in Lynchburg, May 11, 1965, he was a son of the late Joseph R. McFadden, Sr., and Vivian Wilson McFadden. Joseph was a member of Heart of Worship Ministries and was a well driller for Fred Jones Well Company.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Jonathan McFadden of Appomattox, Joey McFadden of Brooklyn, NY, and David Hamlett of Appomattox; a daughter Rebecca McFadden of Appomattox; a brother, Thomas and Cary McFadden of Forest; two grandchildren, Devin Hamlett and Schuyler Hamlett.

He was preceded in death by a son Jacob McFadden.

Funeral Services will be held 3:00 p.m., Friday, July 11, 2014 at Robinson Funeral Home with the Pastor Tony Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty cemetery. A reception will follow at Heart of Worship Ministries Church.

The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home Thursday, July 10, 2014 from 7:00-8:30 p.m.
