John "Jack" Price Baker, 89, of Evergreen, died Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Virginia Baptist Hospital. He was the husband of the late Addie Lucado Baker.

Born in Evergreen, December 19, 1926, he was a son of the late H. Dillard Baker and Ora "Coot" Harvey Baker. Jack was a member of Evergreen United Methodist Church and retired from Babcock and Wilcox. Jack served his country in the United States Navy during WWII.

He is survived by two sons, Steve Baker and wife Shirley Jean and Gary Baker and wife Janet all of Evergreen; a sister, Nedra Womack of Evergreen; five grandchildren Kris, Andrew, Courtney, Josh and Caleb; three special girls Mary Beth, Dani and Desiree.

He was preceded in death by a brother Hugh Baker.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Evergreen United Methodist Church with the Rev. Marsha L. Davis officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date.

Family and friends can visit anytime at the residence of Steve and Shirley Jean Baker.
