Obituary
John Louis Parker, of Appomattox, died Sunday May 17, 2009 in Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Barbara Parker.
A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday May 19, 2009, at 1:00 PM in Herman Methodist Church Cemetery on Piney Mountain Road, with the Rev David B. Camden officiating. Military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post #104 and VFW #9855 combined honor guard.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Appomattox Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 894, Appomattox VA, 24522, or the Appomattox Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 57, Appomattox VA, 24522.
