Obituary
John Junior Latham, 85, of Pamplin, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016 at his residence. He was the loving husband of Ruby Shirlen Latham.
Born in Clinton County, KY, May 31, 1931, he was a son of the late Minnie Elvira Catron and John Sherdan Latham. John was a member of Prospect Gospel Tabernacle and retired from the United States Airforce.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter, Kathy Hockensmith of Nickolsville, KY; a sister, Etta Bruce of Albany, KY; a sister-in-law, Brenda Latham of TN; two grandchildren, Alisha Hockensmith of Maine and Krystal Hockensmith of KY; three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Sholes and Halma Dickerson; and three brothers, James Latham, William Latham and Daniel Latham.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Prospect Gospel Tabernacle with Rev. Gary Stoots officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites accorded by American Legion Post #104 and VFW #9855 combined honor guard.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Prospect Gospel Tabernacle.
