John Timothy Hinton, 61, of Lynchburg, died on February 13, 2022, at Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born on December 14, 1960, he was the son of the late Maynard Tracy Hinton and Ellen Elizabeth Madison Clark, of Lynchburg.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Christina Amis of Florida; two grandchildren, Jazmine, and Zalilah; seven siblings, Judy Kilgus, Edna Minear, Maynard Hinton, Jr., Danny Hinton, Larry Hinton, Mark Hinton, and Faith Flander; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shannon Christian, and a sister, Tracy Lorraine Green.
