Obituary
John Henry Hamlett, 61, of 9368 Dinky Circle, Windsor died Friday July 8, 2011 at his residence. He was the husband of Jane Stratford Hamlett.
John was born in Farmville on May 14, 1950 a son of the late Lottie Pearl Nash and Walter C. Hamlett, Sr. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Susan Bowles- Wilson and Beverly Horton of Appomattox; brother and sisters, Herbert Hamlett and his wife Jeanette of Appomattox; Joyce H. Harris and her husband, Garland of Evington, Jannie M. Sapp of Chester and Dorothy H. Foster and her husband, William of Phenix; three grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Hamlett.
He was preceded in death by sisters Carrie Leftwich and Betty Jean H. Phelps and her twin brother, Walter C. Hamlett., Jr.
A graveside funeral service will be held today (Sunday) July 10, 2011 at the Hamlett Family Cemetery on Vincent Store Road in Charlotte County by the Rev. Neil Seward.
