Obituary
John Samuel (Duck) Dixon, Jr., 34, of Patteson Street, Appomattox, died Saturday, November 1, 2014, at his residence. He was born in Lynchburg, Va., on October 6, 1980, the son of Dolly Dixon Bryant of Appomattox and the late John Samuel Dixon Sr.
In addition to his mother he is survived by a sister, Laura Dixon; a nephew, Chris Dixon; and grandparents, Mary Thompson, Anna Dixon, and Bob Markland all of Appomattox.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Thompson.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 4, 2014 in Robinson Funeral Home by Chaplin Steve Flowers. Burial will follow in Gladstone Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
