Obituary
John W. Barnhart, 77, of Appomattox died Friday, January 15, 2010 in Lynchburg General Hospital.
He was born December 6, 1932, in Cumberland, MD, a son of the late Ethel Sherly and Howard Russell Barnhart.
John is survived by four daughters and two sons-in-law, Diane Zega, Carol and Edward Hubbell, Irene Cone, and Joan and Charles Sumner all of Tampa, Florida; ten grandchildren,; seven great-grandchildren; a brother Kenny Barnhart, of West Virginia; three sisters, Susie Evans, Nancy Trigonopolos, both of Maryland, and Patricia Sacco of Arizona.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM, Monday, January 18, 2010 at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. Bruce Johnson.
In Lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Appomattox Animal Shelter, 3074 Morning Star Rd., Appomattox, VA 24522, under the name of "Tippy". He was a huge supporter of the dogs lost in the area.
