Obituary
Joella Ferguson Means, 69, of Appomattox, died, Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at her residence. She was the widow of Dr. Frank K. Means.
Joella was born in Appomattox Co. on September, 16, 1940, a daughter of the late Ella Josephine Jamerson and Tommie W. Ferguson.
Joella attended Bluefield College and received her BA Degree from Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, Tennessee. She was a charter member of Grace Hills Baptist Church.
She is survived by nine cousins; David A. Ferguson, Betty Ferguson Harvey, and Elizabeth Brunson all of Lynchburg; Mary Lou Harrison and W.E. (Bill) Jamerson both of Appomattox; Nancy Dangler of Hawaii; Anne Bromhall of Roswell, Ga., Betty Macko of Richmond and Sandra Harris of IN.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, June 26, 2010, at Grace Hills Baptist Church by Rev. Adam Tyler. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the start of the service, at the church.
