JoAnn McCormick Ferguson Rosser, 70, of Bethany Road, died, Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Runk and Pratt, Forest. She was the wife of the late Aubrey Linwood Rosser.

Born in Lynchburg, on July 24, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Mildred Hughes and Warren McCormick, Sr. JoAnn was a member of New Chapel Baptist Church and worked at Long Mountain Grocery for many years.

She is survived by a son, Bert Ferguson and wife, Denise; two step-daughters, Sandra Burks and husband, Danny and Marsha Pritchett and husband, D.W. all of Rustburg; two brothers, Warren R. McCormick, Jr and wife, Kitty of Monroe and Richard A. McCormick of Lynchburg; four sisters, Lois M. Wilson and husband, Roy, Mollie M. Rankin, Kathy M. Donald and husband, Ricky all of Lynchburg and Carolyn M. Franklin and husband, Donnie of Appomattox; five grandchildren, Melanie Millner and husband, Tommy, Cammie Hughes and husband, Jeremy, Dallas Burks, Heather Ferguson and Zackary Ferguson; great-grandchildren, Katlyn Millner, Wyatt Tweedy, Scarlet Hughes and Atticus Millner; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, May 13, 2016 at New Chapel Baptist Church, 2084 New Chapel Road, Rustburg, with Pastor Jay Logan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service and other times at the home of Sandra and Danny Burks, 5230 Bethany Road, Rustburg.
