Joan Carol Tolley, 76, of Hixburg Road, Pamplin, VA, received the gift of Eternal Life, Sunday, May 23, 2021.

Born in West Virginia, January 11, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Della Watson and Leslie Godby.  Joan was a member of Rocks Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.  She graduated with honors from Keystone High School.  Joan retired from Dillwyn Correctional Center where she worked as a Human Resources Assistant.

She is survived by three children, Kimberly K. Collurafici (Michael) of Pamplin, Jennifer Most (Rick) of Denton, MD James E. Tolley, Jr. (Jane) of Redlion, PA; 11 grandchildren, Benjamin Reed Collurafici (Whitney), Katie Danielle Marquis (Lance), Angela Borg (Brian), Calen Baldree, Travis Farren, Amy Potter (Jeff), Robbie Planz (Sarah), Adam Planz (Samantha), James Tolley, III, (Maureen), Andrea Spector, and Carl Tolley (Colleen); 19 great-grandchildren; several wonderful nieces and nephews; and the Rocks Old Lady Gang.

She was twice widowed, Benny Frank Reed and James Edward Tolley, Sr.  She was also preceded in death by one son, Benjie Warren Reed; three sisters, Joyce Marsh, Helen Thornsbury and Jean Dunn; and a special sister-in-law, Nancy Stanley.

Funeral Services will be held 3 p.m., Friday, May 28, 2021 at Rocks Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Lee officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m., until 9 p.m., Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Robinson Funeral Home and other times Tuesday, May 25, 2021 and Wednesday May 26, 2021 from 7 p.m., until 9 p.m at the home of her grandson, Benjamin and Whitney Collurafici, 226 Patricia Ann Lane, Appomattox, VA 24522.

Additionally, a celebration of her life with a cookout will be held Saturday, May 29, 2021 from noon until dusk at Holiday Lake State Park where she took all the children while they were growing up.
