Jimmy Hall, Jr., 76, of Red House Road, Phenix, died Saturday morning September 29, 2012 at the University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville. He was the husband of Aggie Ruth Thorn Hall.
Jimmy was born in McComas, West Virginia on April 17, 1936 a son of the late Offie Kimmons and Richard Hall. He was a retired mechanic having worked in the shipyard industry.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Cheryl Ortiz and husband, Eddie of Alabama, Carolyn King of Brookneal, Sheila Brown and husband, Maurice Jr. of Phenix and Kimberly Shorter and husband, Timothy of Charlotte Court House; two sons, Kenneth Carlton and wife, Valerie of Clover and James (Franky) Winders of Red House; one sister, Evelyn Sadler and husband, Eddie; two brothers, Dallas Hall and Lacy Hall; 24 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday October 3, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. from Robinson Funeral Home officiated by the Rev. Landon Spradlin. Burial will follow in Rough Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 to 8:30 PM, Tuesday, and other times at the residence.
