Obituary

Jesse Don Chambers, 87, of Pamplin, went to his heavenly home, Sunday, June 3, 2007, in Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Oma Faye Wright Chambers for 67 years.
Born in Boone County, West VA, January 5, 1920, he was a son of the late Ira Leftwich and Virginia Burton Chambers. Jesse was devoted to his God, his wife, his children and grandchildren and a friend to all. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church and retired from Mountaineer Euclid.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara C. and Charles Mullins of Appomattox; two granddaughters and their husbands, Tammy and Tim Davis of Appomattox and Vicki and Scott Callaway of Advance, NC; three great grandchildren, Chad Davis and wife, Jamie, Dena Davis and her boyfriend, Blaine Harvey, and Tyler Callaway; two great-great grandchildren, Karlee and Kyle Davis and a sister, Pearl Nichols of Cross Lane, WV
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Zina Chambers and Anne Surber and three brothers, Clarence, Henry, and Bruce Chambers.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 6, 2007 in Bible Baptist Church by the Rev. Robert E. Lee. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Bible Baptist Church today from 7 – 8:30 p.m. and at other times at the home of Charles and Barbara Mullins, Purdum Mill Rd., Appomattox.
