Jerry Clinton White Sr., 78 years young, who served in the US Air Force, and was a longtime resident of the Lynchburg and Appomattox area, went to be with the Lord, on December 8, 2018, in his home with his dear wife.

Jerry was the son of David and Ila White and was born June 7, 1940 in Welch, West Va. His influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew him. To be in his presence was an honor. He was filled with love and compassion. Jerry lived a life of devotion to God and is now in His presence for eternity.

Jerry and Emelia married on December 2, 1960, after knowing one another for years and together raised three children. He admired and loved his dear bride and family. Jerry loved everyone he met and shared his love and compassion for the Lord. God, family and friends were Jerry's love.

He is survived by his wife, Francis Emelia White, who by the grace of God allowed them to celebrate their 58 ^th wedding anniversary the week prior. He is also survived by their children, Jerry White Jr. and wife, Monica, Joe White and wife, Laura, Leanne and husband, Doug McGraw; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and siblings, Sherry David and Danny White.

A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019 in Thomas Terrace Baptist Church, 10660 Richmond Hwy., Lynchburg, with a meal and celebration of life to follow.
