Obituary
Jerldeen Stitt Mahaffey, 83, died Monday, September 24, 2012 in Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born on January 7, 1929, in Maitland, WV, she was a daughter of the late James William and Josie Mae England Stitt. Jerry was a member of Hardshell Baptist Church in Belchers Mountain, WV and a retired L.P.N. with Central Virginia Training Center for 35 years.
She is survived by one son, William Noah (Bubby) Mahaffey and his wife Dianne of Lynchburg; two daughters, Barbara Mae Bowling and husband Grover of Cocoa, FL and Brenda Gay Stratton and husband Bruce of Lynchburg; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Tracy Lee Stitt and wife Carol of Forest and Glen Arthur Stitt of Madison Heights; two sisters-in-law, Ann Stitt and Joyce Stitt; seven nieces and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, James Douglas, Charles Lester, Clarence Cleo, and Franklin Delenore Stitt and two sisters, Aleen Novella S. Fraley and Marcella Carrie Shirley.

Graveside funeral services will be held, 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 28, 2011, in Ft. Hill Memorial Park.
