Jeffrey Walker Slaughter went to be with the Lord on August 10, 2025 at the age of 63. Before his death, he preached a powerful sermon at Spout Spring Baptist Church about the Judgement Seat of Christ and eternal rewards.

He spent a beautiful Sunday afternoon with his wife, children, and grandchildren whom he adored.

Jeff can best be described as passionate about his love for the Lord and his family, America, Ohio sports teams, and his work as a landscaper and pastor.

Jeff's Bible was left open in his study to Acts 20:24 "but my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus-the work of telling the good news about the wonderful grace of God."

Jeff ran the race and finished well.

A native of Canton, Ohio, Jeff was an avid sports fan, passionately rooting for the Cleveland Indians in the spring, and Ohio State Buckeyes in the fall. Jeff met his beautiful wife Robin working in entertainment on a cruise ship. They were married in 1990 and celebrated 35 amazing years together.

Jeff was a military police officer and proud of his time serving his country in the National Guard.

He is survived by his wife Robin, son Dylan and his wife Elizabeth, their two kids, Holland, and Callen, daughters Brittany and Jaclyn, brother Randall, sister Amy and her husband Jeff, and mom Sharon. He was happiest spending time with his family, especially on trips to Williamsburg, the beach, or Ohio, which he jokingly dubbed, "The Holy Land."

Jeff's family and friends don't grieve as those who have no hope, rather they look forward to seeing their husband and father again in Heaven.

Jeff is healed and happy, reunited with his brother Joey and father John, who preceded him in death.

If you're reading this, Jeff would remind you to live passionately for the Lord, never shying away from sharing the gospel, living worthy of the calling God placed on your life.

When Jeff entered into Heaven, he heard the words, well-done, good and faithful servant.

A memorial service will be held 11 am, Friday, August 15, 2025, at Evergreen Baptist Church with Pastor Rick Caldwell and Pastor Brian Seay officiating.
