Jeanette Taylor Morgan

Jeanette Taylor Morgan, 84, of Lynchburg, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.

Born in Halifax County, VA, on February 14, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Edgar T. Anderson and Edith Arthur Anderson. Her greatest joys were spending time with her family, cooking and baking for her grand and great grandchildren and quilting. She sewed a piece of her heart into every quilt she made. She was delighted with every conversation about quilting or when someone asked her for a quilt and she was able to gift a hug made out of fabric.

She is survived by her children, Teresa Reynolds (Mike) of Appomattox, Cindy Irby (Don) of Lynchburg, Jetta Morgan (Sherri) of Hurt, Harvey G. “Sam” Morgan, Jr. (Stefanie), Harvey G. “Blu” Morgan, III (Shelley) all of Concord; grandchildren, Samantha Pollard, Linsey Carter (Mike), Daniel Hamlett, Stuart Salmon (Emily), Jared (Taylor), Zack, Will and Lilly Morgan; and her son-in-law, Jeff Salmon. She was also blessed and survived by seven great grandchildren: Zane Mawyer, Violet Hamlett, Taylor Miles (Kevin), Clayton Boyte, Landon Hamlett, Jayson Carter and Leo Salmon; and her youngest joys, two great-great grandsons: Karter Mawyer and Kashten Miles.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Harvey Garman Morgan, Sr.; her daughter, Wendy Salmon; one grandson, Kevin Salmon; and one brother, Allen Anderson.

The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 1 to 2:30 pm and other times at the home of her daughter, Cindy Irby.
