Jean Milton Stratton, 82, of Appomattox, Va., died Sunday, July 25, 2021. She was the wife of John H. "Jack" Stratton for 61 years.

Born in Lynchburg, Va., on October 14, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Ada Bullock Milton and Elbert Samuel Admire Milton. Jean was a member of Hebron Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, David M. and Terri Stratton of Fuquay-Varina, N.C. and M. Dennis and Wendy Stratton of Forest ; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Elbert Lee Milton of Norfolk; sister-in-law, Marie C. Milton of Madison Heights; brother-in-law, T. Carter Bondurant of Concord; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jean was predeceased by a sister, Joy M. Bondurant and two brothers, Harrison T. Milton and James P. Milton.

A memorial service officiated by Rev. Tom Walker will be held at 2 pm, Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Hebron Baptist Church, 7533 Stonewall Road, Appomattox. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the service.
