Jean Marie Mann Cumbie, 79, of Appomattox went to be with her heavenly Father on Saturday, March 3, 2018. She was the wife of the late Payton G. Cumbie, Sr. for 63 years.

She was the daughter of the late Herman Mann and Rosa Crews Mann Logan. Jean was a member of Red Oak Baptist Church and a retired seamstress for Courtland Manufacturing.

She is survived by two children, Glenn Cumbie, Jr. and wife, Dale of Arizona and Tammy Cumbie of Appomattox; two brothers, Tony Mann and wife, Gloria and Ray Mann and wife, Edith; and a sister, Lois M. Notestein; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents she is preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Page and a sister, Frances Witt.

A memorial service will be held 2 pm, Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at Red Oak Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Barker officiating.

The family will receive friends at the residence.
