Obituary
Janie Ann Deaner, 73, of Appomattox died Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the home of her brother. She was born in Lynchburg, VA, on July 22, 1939, a daughter of the late Ruth Phelps and William (Bill) Thomas Deaner.
Janie was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
She is survived by two brothers, W. T. Deaner, Jr. of Ocala, FL and Robert E. (Deano) Deaner of Appomattox; a special niece, Ruth Deaner; a special friend, Ann Mayberry; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister, Alease Vest.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to Dr. Matthew C. Sackett for his loving care of Janie.
A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 16, 2013 in Mount Comfort United Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Dwight Weaver.
