Janice Reynolds Guthrie

Janice Reynolds Guthrie, 81, of Lynchburg, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at her residence surrounded by family. She was the wife of Tony M. Guthrie for 62 years.

Born in Lynchburg, Va., she was the daughter of the late Clyde Horaticus Reynolds and Huldah Wilkerson Reynolds. Janice worked as an administrative assistant for B&W for 31 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister; her family always came first. She had a smile that would light up a room. One of her favorite pastimes was shopping. If you were blessed to have shopped with her then you knew that laughing and shopping went hand in hand.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Ronnie S. Guthrie and wife, Brandy; three grandchildren, Aiden Perrow, Tyler Bradley, and Andrew Bradley; brother, Mike Reynolds; sister-in-law, Joan G. Johnson and husband, Jack; uncle, Ralph Reynolds and wife, Ann; stepmother, Jean Reynolds; and numerous special nieces and a special nephew.

A private burial will be held.

A celebration of life will be held 11am, Saturday, November 14, 2026, at Calvary Baptist Church in Concord, Va. with Pastor Chad Harris officiating.
