Obituary
James Watkins Tyler, 76, of Appomattox, passed away, Sunday, November 13, 2016 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Peggy A. Tyler.
Born in Richmond, May 19, 1940, he was a son of the late Mary Loretta Martin and Johnnie W. Tyler. James served his country in the United States Navy.
He is survived by a daughter, Constance Watson and husband, David of Appomattox; one brother, Jerry Timberlake of Irvington; one sister, Jean Callahan of Florida; two grandchildren, Matthew Watson and Alyssa Watson.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Laverne Harris, Joyce Harris and Doris Martin.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Thomas Road Baptist Church, Pate Chapel with Pastor Jonathan Falwell officiating.
