Obituary
James Harold Torrence, 63, of Edgewood St., Appomattox, died Monday, February 9, 2009.
Born in Washington, DC, November 5, 1945, he was the son of the late James Vernon and Shirley Getz Torrence. Jimmy was a member of the Appomattox Moose Lodge #975, retired as a food service manager, and a graduate of Marshall University.
He is survived by his longtime companion and friend, Pat Collins and two children, Seth and Stephanie Torrence.
A celebration of life service and visitation with friends will be held from 2 - 4:00 pm, Saturday, Feb. 28 at Appomattox Moose Lodge.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to help with Jimmy's medical and final expenses, c/o Mike Scott, 267 Hollybrook Drive, Appomattox, VA 24522.
