James Cabiness Moore, 86, of Spout Spring passed away Wednesday November 11, 2015. He was the husband of Izetta Moore.

He was born in Charlotte County, Va. July 24, 1929 a son of the late Carrie Johnson and Robert Vint (Buck) Moore. James was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church and was retired from Appomattox Hardware.
In addition to his wife, James is survived by his daughter, Pamela Moore Levinson and her husband Stanley H. of Lynchburg; three grandchildren, Joshua G. Levinson of Hampton, Cara O. Levinson and Camden R. Levinson both of Lynchburg; two brothers, Robert D. (Bob) Moore of Forest and Fred H. Moore of Appomattox; two sisters, Betty M. Ramsey of Charlotte C.H., Va. and Fay M. Bartley and husband, Bud of Rustburg.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Hazel Paulette Moore and a brother, Kenneth H. Moore.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 am Saturday November 14, 2015 at Evergreen Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Chris King. Burial will follow in Evergreen Community Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home today (Friday) from 6:30 – 8:00p.m.
