James Edward "Jimmy" Fleshman, 84, of Phenix, formerly of Lynchburg, died Tuesday, December 19, 2023.  He was the husband of the late Shirley Daniel Fleshman.

Born in Charlotte County, Va., October 18, 1939, he was a son of the late Ida Melton and Everette Henry Fleshman.  Jimmy was a member of Fairview Christian Church.  He worked for Fred Jones Well Company for 44 years.

He is survived by his daughter, Joanie Wood and husband, Floyd of Nathalie; one grandson, Slade Simpson and wife, Casey; great-granddaughter, Lilah Simpson; special friend, Carolyn Clark; and Shirley's extended family including grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, December 22, 2023, at Robinson Funeral Home with Rev. Richard O'Donnell and Rev. Chris Kesler officiating.  Burial will follow in Midway Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
