James Wallace Guill

James Wallace Guill, 80, of Appomattox passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Appomattox Health and Rehab.

Born in Lynchburg, VA on November 14, 1945, he was the son of the late Willie Elmo Guill and Mary Frances Coleman Guill. He served his country in Vietnam as a member of the United States Army.

He is survived by his son, James Wesley Guill; stepson, Carl Bane, Jr.; several grandchildren; sister, Jacquetta G. Mayberry; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd Elmo Guill and Beverley Witt Guill; two sisters, Virginia G. Doss and Nellie G. Mayberry; stepdaughter, Teresa Bane; and step granddaughter, Cheyenne Bane.

A funeral service will be held 2pm, Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Robinson Funeral Home with Pastor Jonathan Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.

The family will receive friends following the service.
