James Allen Godsey, Jr., 57, of Spout Spring, died Saturday, August 27, 2022.

Born in Lynchburg, April 9, 1965, he was a son of Ella Mae Almond Godsey and the late James Allen Godsey, Sr.  James attended Heart of Worship Ministries and worked many years alongside his brother, Calvin.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by three children, Ethan James Godsey, Logan Lynne Godsey and Dallas Cole Godsey; one brother, L. Calvin Godsey, Sr., and wife, Tammy; two nephews, Calvin Godsey, Jr., and wife, Autumn and Michael Carwile, Jr.; one niece, Melissa Carwile; three great-nieces, Greenlee, Chesnee and Zaybree; and Katie Harvey and Clyde Harvey who he considered his adopted Children.

He was preceded in death by his son, William Allen Godsey; and his sister, Donna Godsey Carwile.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at Robinson Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Horn officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.
