James Wayne "Bad Eye" Dixon, Sr., 60, of Lakeside Drive, Lynchburg, died Friday, April 23, 2021 at his residence.

Born in Lynchburg, Va., on January 12, 1961, he was a son of the late Anna McFadden and William Joseph Dixon, Sr.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph Edward Dixon and Chassity; three daughters, Joni Lee Dixon, Jasmine Dixon, and Ashley Dixon and fiancé, Mikie Woods; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Leighland, Caleb, Jayla, Piper, Troy, and Moet; one great-grandchild, Jhalen; a special friend, Judy Powell; fiancée' of 13 years Phyllis Woodall; and close friends, Stephen and Cindy Guthrie.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann Clay; two brothers, William Lee Dixon and John Samuel Dixon; two cousins, Pete Tyree and Thomas Kress; and his former father-in-law, Eddie Lee Powell.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 am, on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, in the Gladstone Family Cemetery.
