Appomattox: James Larkin Davidson, 68, of 5151 Oakville Road, had a peaceful death Friday, August 10, 2007 at his daughter and son-in-law's home, Scott and Deborah Gunn in Rustburg with Deborah and Tammy present.
Larkin was born November 27, 1938 in Appomattox County, a son of the late Curtis Twyman Davidson and Noonie Arlene Reed Davidson. He was retired from Lynchburg Foundry and Armstrong Furniture, a member of Black Rock Hunt Club and the Appomattox Moose Lodge.
He is survived be his wife Patricia Davidson; one son, James C. and Theresa Davidson all of Appomattox; two daughters, Deborah D. and Scott Gunn of Rustburg, and Tammy D. Harmon and Larry Hall of Lynchburg; four sisters Hilda and Bully Ferguson, Gladys Gallier, Maxine and Pete Guill all of Appomattox, and Teresa and Terrell Brown of Lynchburg; five grandchildren, Trisha Harmon, Jamie Davidson, Jonathon Goin, Stephanie Goin, and Samantha Gunn. Also surviving are many dear and dedicated friends including Chuck and Cindy Cuneo, L.M. Thomas, Janice Davis, Fred and Nancy Moore, Shirley Ferguson, Kierra Moore, Tommy and Faye Cawthorn and members of Black Rock Hunting Club.
Funeral services will be held at Robinson Funeral Home Monday, August 13, 2007, at 11:00 am by the Rev. E.W. Lucas and the Rev. Randall Fish. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery.
