James Phillip Bass 74, of Concord, died Saturday, April 20, 2024.  He was the loving husband of Constance "Connie" Harrell Bass.

Born in Lynchburg, January 12, 1950, he was a son of the late Genell Foster Bass and James Alvin Bass.  He was a member of Memorial Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Kevin Ragland and wife, Tracy of Lynchburg and Brian Ragland and wife, Marie of Birmingham, AL; two brothers, Thomas A. Bass and wife, Linda, Richard A. Bass and wife, Teresa; three grandchildren, Willow Ragland, Katelyn Ragland and Nicholas Ragland; one great-granddaughter, Rowan Moss; and two nephews, Greg Bass and Justin Bass.

He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Randy Brooks, Jr.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 26, 2024, at Robinson Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held 2:30 p.m., Friday, April 26, 2024, at Concord Cemetery with Rev. Chad Harris officiating.
