Jacob Corter
Jacob Corter, 87, of Wildway Rd., Appomattox, died at his residence on January 30, 2012. He was the wife of Dolores R. Corter.
Jacob was born in Monksville, NJ April 12, 1924 a son of the late Harry Corter and Jeanette Sillsbury Corter. Jacob was retired from Allied Chemical, an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Michael Corter and wife Debra of Stanhope, NJ and Helen Bean and husband Daniel of Myrtle Beach, SC.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday February 3, 2012 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Oakleigh Avenue, Appomattox, officiated by Father Jim Gallagher. Burial with Military Rites accorded by American Legion Post #104 & VFW #9055 combined honor guard will immediately follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation at the church one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM on Friday.
