Jack Dillard Carroll, 94, of Village Highway, Concord, died Friday, April 19, 2013 at Appomattox Health and Rehab Center. He was the husband of the late Evelyn Cyrus Carroll.
Born in Campbell County, on October 30, 1918, he was a son of the late Dillard Lewis and Ada Woodall Carroll. He was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church, where he helped in the purchasing of the current church building. Jack traveled the east coast as a factory representative for New Holland Equipment and was a member of Reedy Springs Masonic Lodge #203 A.F. and A.M.
He is survived by one son, Richard W. Carroll and wife Debra of Concord; three grandchildren, Monica Carroll Martin and her husband Gary of Lynchburg, Dr. Richard W. Carroll, Jr. and his wife Andrea of Bristol, Allison Carroll Moore and her husband James of Colfax, NC; and eight great-grandchildren, Grayson and Reagan Martin; Mason, Layne and Parker Carroll; Macey, Kayton, and Camryn Moore. He was preceded in death by 6 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, 2013, in Bethlehem United Methodist Church, by the Rev. Dan Dibble, Rev. Nolan Crowder, and Rev. Bart Weakley. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Fellowship Hall at Bethlehem United Methodist Church.
