Jesse Taylor Guill, Jr. (J. T.), 77, of Piney Mt. Rd, Appomattox, died Thursday, March 7, 2013, in Virginia Baptist Hospital. Born in Monroe, VA on August 25, 1935, he was the son of the late Jesse Taylor Guill, Sr. and Hilda McGuire Guill.
He is survived by a son, Ronald Lee Guill of Lynchburg; two daughters, Catherine Reynolds and husband, Horace Jr. of Lynchburg and Jessica Weakley and husband, Shane of Appomattox; three grandchildren, Jodie Christopherson and husband, Bruce, and Haley and Breanna Carrico; two great grandchildren, Hunter and Brian Christopherson; a brother, Larry Guill and wife, Linda of Lynchburg; and four sisters, Mickey Porton of Appomattox, Madeline Poe and husband, Buddy of Yorktown, Pasty Wilson and husband, John of Appomattox, and Donna Blume and husband, Larry of Holden Beach, NC. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Ronald Lee Guill.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home on Sunday, March 10, from 5-7 p.m. There will be a family graveside service on Monday, March 11, at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to the Centra Foundation, 1920 Atherholt Rd., Lynchburg, VA 24501; memo line: Alan B. Regional Cancer Center.
