Iris Christian Mann, 84, of Appomattox, VA, went to see Jesus, Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Randolph Wayne Mann.
Born in Appomattox County, VA, on April 12, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Lucille Ryan and William David Christian, Sr. Iris retired from the Appomattox Dairy Queen. She was a longtime member of Appomattox Rescue Squad. Iris had a strong faith in her Savior, Jesus Christ.
She is survived by one son, Robert W. Mann; six grandchildren, Zach Mann, Justin Ellis and wife, Courtney, Joshua Ellis, Jonathan Nichols and Emily, Kimberly Page, and Crystal Page; two great-grandchildren, Kylie and Emma Ellis; one brother, William “Billy” David Christian, Jr. and Peggy Wells; one brother-in-law, Floyd “Pete” Lee Jamerson; her close friend, Frankie and Jean Chernault; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Tina Marie Mann Nichols and Lisa Mann Ellis; and three sisters, Nancy Christian Jamerson, Tish Christian Inge, and Amy Christian Glenn.
A celebration of Iris’s life will be held from 6 to 8 pm, on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at her residence.
